The United Republic of Tanzania is located in Eastern Africa between longitude 29o and 41o East, Latitude 1o and 12o south.
Emirates/Kenya Airways/KLM / British Airways fly into Dar es Salaam daily from Europe, Middle East and Africa. Many other international airlines fly to Dar es Salaam from where you can take a local transport to the Bagamoyo (the trip by road takes approximately 1 hour). A number of Charter Planes also operate regularly daily, fly weekly charter flights directly to the Dar es Salaam from Arusha, Zanzibar.
Bagamoyo is a place of considerable significance to the world history, both as an entry point for Arab and European Missionaries, Explorers and traders in East and central in the history of the slave trade. There is significant existence of rich contemporary culture in Bagamoyo. It boasts one of East Africa’s largest assemblies of 18th century architecture.
Bagamoyo is located at 6°26′S, 38°54′E. It lies 75 km north of Dar-es-Salaam along the white sandy beach of the Indian Ocean, close to the island of Zanzibar.
